Sending email from a resource account

In this article we'll be going over how to send an email from another address you have access to.

1. Open your Outlook mail application - You can use the search box directly or by clicking the start menu.

Then, type Outlook as shown below, and click the Outlook icon.

Alternatively, there might also be a shortcut on your desktop for Outlook, and you can double-click the desktop icon.

2. Click the 'new email' button.

3. You should see the 'From' field has a drop box with options to other mailboxes that you've been given access to. Select the one you wish send the mail from.

4.  If you don't see the desired email account in the drop down list, select the 'Other Email Address...' Option

5. Type in the address you wish to send from (that you have access to) and click OK.

6.  You should now see the address in the 'From' field. You can proceed to write out the subject and body of your email and click 'Send'.

If you receive a bounce back/undeliverable message, it is possible that you have not been granted access to the email account you're attempting to send from. If this is this case, please have your direct supervisor submit a ticket through the Network Access Request (NAR) system. Please see this link for reference on how your supervisor can submit the request.
