How to access a separate email account

This article will walk you through opening a separate outlook email account from your standard email. First, we'll use the web version to sign in to your Valencia email and then open the second account into another tab in your web browser. This method would be the same in any web-capable device.

1. Open your web browser, go to outlook.com, and locate the sign-in button towards the upper right corner of the screen.

 

 

2. Enter your full Valencia email address, as seen in the example below youremail@valenciacollege.edu.

The password is the same as your Atlas password.

If you are signing in to check your email from a computer or device for the first time. You may be prompted to confirm your identity through the multi-factor authentication process (Where you answer a phone call, enter the code from a text message, or use the Microsoft Authentication app). Please reference this article to update these options. 

3. You should now be signed in to your Valencia staff account and looking at your inbox. For signing into the separate account, there is a circle towards the upper right corner of the screen with your initials; click it. Then click on the link to "open another mailbox."

 

4. You will need to enter the full address of the resource you need 

Your web browser should open a new tab with the desired email inbox. The folders will be displayed differently when accessing the mail through the web and may require you to open some folder view selections.
