Adobe Software Overview

NOTE: This page is being developed and updated. It is currently publically enabled for review purposes and assistance with Faculty/Staff installations.

NOTE:

By default, all faculty and staff at the college (who have a college-provided laptop) have Acrobat Adobe Reader installed. Adobe Reader allows for the opening of PDF files. For any other Adobe products or to make modifications to a PDF, a license must be purchased via departmental funds after acquiring a quote from OIT at quoterequest@valenciacollege.edu and purchasing a license.

You can work with Acrobat 2020 on the desktop only. Alternatively, purchase an Acrobat subscription to take advantage of extra capabilities made possible by Adobe Document Cloud services.

  • Instantly edit scanned documents: Turn paper scans into editable PDFs with automatic font matching, so new edits blend right in.
  • Create protected PDFs: Create high-quality PDF files from Acrobat or popular Microsoft® Office apps. Add restrictions to prevent others from copying, editing, or printing sensitive information.
  • Edit PDF text and images: Use a familiar point-and-click interface to edit PDF documents intuitively— right within Acrobat.
