How to setup your new device

 

Thank you picking up your new Valencia issued laptop. Please follow the steps below to get your device online and configured for use. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 407-582-5555 where any of our Technical Support Specialists will be happy to help.

Make sure to log on to your device using your Valencia credentials at least once BEFORE leaving the campus/campus network, or you will not be able to log in when you are off-site

Connecting Your Device to Valencia’s Network

  1. Click on the globe icon located in the right corner of your screen and select “VC-Staff”. Be sure to click the “Connect Automatically” box and click connect.
  2. Sign into the laptop using your Atlas credentials. The laptop will now create your local profile and sign you into your device.

 

 

Connecting To Microsoft Teams

  1. Once you are signed in, Microsoft Teams will appear asking you to sign in using your Valencia email address.

        2. Microsoft Teams will prompt you to authenticate using either the Microsoft Authenticator app and selecting “Approve”, or via text message.

        3. Select “Allow my organization to manage my device” to complete the Microsoft Teams setup.

 

 

Configuring Microsoft Outlook

     1. Open the Start Menu and search for “Outlook”​​

​​​​​.

    2.   Once open, Outlook will auto populate your Email address. Select “Continue” and uncheck the “Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone too” box.

   3.    Select “Done”. Outlook will start the process of retrieving all of your emails and establishing a local copy of your mailbox.

 

Configuring Zoom

    1. Open Google Chrome and go to valenciacollege.zoom.us. Select “Download Client” from the bottom of the page.

    2. From the “Download Center” Click “Download” and run the “ZoomInstaller.exe” to begin installing the Zoom client.

    3.  Once the Zoom client has been installed a login screen will appear. Click “Sign in” and Select “SSO” at the bottom of the window.

    4. In the “Company Domain” field enter “valenciacollege.zoom.us” and click continue.

    5. From the sign in page, use your Atlas credentials to sign in. Be sure to check the “Stay Signed In” box.

  1. Username: example@valenciacollege.edu
  2. Password: Atlas Password

    6. Once logged in, check the “Always Allow” box to allow Zoom to open meetings using the Zoom Client in the future.
