How To Report Phishing Emails Within Outlook

To report the email as phishing using the Outlook software on your windows device, click the button to expand the drop-down menu and select “Phishing.” Please note the button will only function when the message is open or using “preview” mode in Outlook.**

Click Report Message to Right of Toolbar off of the Home Menu

Note: The Office of Information Technology has added a warning banner at the beginning of all emails from external senders. This will help identify external emails that may be phishing attempts to impersonate a Valencia College community member by changing the name displayed in the “sender” field.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have clicked on any links, opened any attachments and provided your username and/or password, please reset your password immediately. you can do this by logging out of Atlas if need be and using the "Forgot Password" link off the main page to reset your password.

**Currently, the above will only work for Windows-based computers. Macintosh users can self-report phishing emails by using the Outlook Web Access feature.
