Before You Begin
NOTE: This article applies to college-issued devices only. All Adobe software installations must be completed through Software Center.
By default, all faculty and staff with a college‑provided device have Adobe Reader installed, which allows you to open PDF files.
To edit PDFs or use other Adobe products (such as Acrobat Pro or Adobe Creative Cloud apps), an Adobe license must be purchased using departmental funds after receiving a quote from OIT.
Please confirm the following before installing:
- You are connected to the internet
- You have received confirmation that your Adobe license has been assigned
Install Adobe Using Software Center
Once your Adobe license has been assigned, the software will be made available to you through Software Center. Follow the steps below to complete the installation.
Step 1: Open Software Center
On Windows, Click the Start Menu, type Software Center, and select it from the results. On Mac, Click the Launch Pad, then click Software Center (see 2nd screen-shot below)

Step 2: Locate Adobe Software
In Software Center:
- Browse the list of available applications, or
- Use the search box and type Adobe
Select the Adobe product you are licensed for (for example,
Adobe Acrobat Pro).
Step 3: Install the Software
Click Install to begin the installation process.
Step 4: Complete Installation and Sign In
Once installation is complete:
- Open the application from Software Center or the Start Menu
- Sign in using your Valencia email address if prompted
- Select Company or School Account when asked
Note: If the Adobe software does not appear in Software Center, your license may not yet be assigned. Please reply to your original request or contact the Service Desk for assistance.
