Update Your Password

Valencia passwords expire every 180 days from when they were last set. If you do not update your password before it expires, you will lose access to most systems:
  • MyVC
  • Canvas
  • Campus WiFi
  • VPN
  • Employee College Systems
To avoid login and access issues, we recommend updating your password before it expires. Below are instructions on updating your password.

Updating through the Authenticator App:
1) Open the Authenticator app
2) Tap on the Valencia College profile
3) Tap "Change Password". (You may have to sign-in and authenticate)
4) Enter your new password, type it again to confirm, then tap Submit

Password Requirements:
  • All passwords are required to meet the “strong password” definition.
  • Passwords must be at least eight characters in length.
  • Passwords must have a combination of: Upper case letter(s), Lower case letter(s), Number(s), and special character(s).
  • Passwords cannot contain a dictionary word.
  • Passwords cannot contain all or part of your user id.
  • Passwords cannot match any of your ten previous passwords.



If you do not have the Authenticator app or it's not working:
You will need to setup and keep the Authenticator app for your duration at Valencia College. Without the authenticator app, you will need to reset your password using this article: Forgot Password. If you do not have an alternative authentication method on your account (phone number or another device with the Authenticator), then you will instead need to contact the OIT Service Desk:
