While working from home on a college provided laptop, employees that can work remotely have an option to divide their provided technology between their home and work spaces. Valencia permits employees to take an assigned monitor from their work space to their home. We do ask that before you remove the equipment, that you follow the guidelines below:
- Obtain the approval of your Dean or Supervisor to remove equipment from campus
- You may submit a ticket to request assistance from Campus Technology Services (CTS) to disassemble equipment
- You may submit a ticket to CTS for a HDMI cable to connect the monitor to your laptop
- Configure/set up the equipment in your home with minimal support
- You may submit a ticket to request assistance from CTS to reconnect returned equipment to your work station
- When you leave the college, all equipment must be returned
OIT remains focused on provisioning and supporting systems, however, our we will not go to your home to assist you with setting up the equipment. We offer limited verbal assistance through the OIT Service Desk (407) 582-5555.
IMPORTANT
Additional equipment are assets beyond the standard Technology Package. Additional equipments are purchased through department funds. You would need to consult your supervisor to begin the process for more equipment.
