Policy Statement:
All international students enrolling at Valencia College in F-1 visa status are required to have, as part of international student admission and enrollment requirements, adequate health insurance effective in the United States and through a company approved by the college.

Procedures:

The college will identify and approve a designated insurance carrier for health insurance coverage for international students.

Payment of health insurance coverage must be made to the approved provider by the deadline date established by the College.

Only transient students, students participating in government or embassy sponsored programs, or F1 visa holders who are dependents of United States permanent residents or United States citizens who are providing adequate health insurance may be eligible for an exception to this policy.

Failure to purchase health insurance by the deadline date as designated by the College will result in denial of enrollment.
