Policy Statement:

The president is authorized to establish rules to waive admission fees, course registration fees, and lab fees for persons 60 years of age or older who are residents of Florida on a space- available basis in credit classes.

Procedures:

 

  1. Students registering for courses under this policy must be Florida residents.

     

  2. Registration shall be held on a space-available basis on the last day of late registration during each college term.

     

  3. Student waivers may not be used to attain minimum enrollment requirements for any course.

     

  4. This waiver may not be used for the admissions application fee or any special fees associated with the course(s) in which the student is registered.

     

  5. The Assistant Vice President, Admissions and Records shall be responsible for the implementation of this policy on all campuses of the College and shall be responsible for maintaining all student records of persons enrolled under the provisions of this policy.

     

  6. The bursar’s office shall be responsible for maintaining all financial records of persons waived under provisions of this policy.
