Policy:

1. The faculty of Valencia College shall constitute an organization called the Valencia College-wide Faculty Association (VCFA) whose purpose shall be to advise the president on matters of college improvement. Tenured, tenure-track, and other full time professors, full time counselors, and full time librarians who are classified as faculty by the Office of Organizational Development and Human Resources shall be members of the VCFA. If an employee’s status is unclear, their status will be determined by a majority vote of the Faculty Council, which is comprised of the VCFA President, the VCFA Vice President, the VCFA Past President, each campus Leadership Team (the Campus Assembly President and Vice-President) and one elected at-large Representative from each campus. The VCFA shall operate under and in accordance with a constitution and by-laws developed by the organization and approved by the president of the College.
