Policy Statement:

 

Selection by the District Board of Trustees of professional services of architects, professional engineers, landscape architects, and registered land surveyors shall be made as required by the Consultants' Competitive Negotiations Act, Section 287.055, Florida Statutes.

Procedures:

 

  1. Public announcement of the project

     

  2. Pre-qualification and certification of firms as qualified to perform

     

  3. Selection of certified qualified firms

     

  4. Recommendation to Board

  5. Board instructs office of facilities to negotiate with first choice

     

  6. If impasse or no closure, begin negotiation with second Board recommendation
